In short ; Search finds while Agents do.
Less short: Search returns text links images you decide and act.
Agents execute goals across tools—and sometimes with other agents—on their own.
An AI agent is goal-oriented. You give it an outcome (“compile customer feedback and send a summary”), and it:
Plans the steps
Queries multiple sources/tools
Synthesizes results across steps
Takes actions on your behalf (e.g., draft emails, update records) !
Learns from feedback for next time
Why it matters: speed, consistency, and scale—without adding more hands.
But capability comes with responsibility. Agents interact with data and systems, so governance, scopes, and human approval flows are essential.
Now that we understand the shift, what security issues do you think this could cause?
I’m eager to hear your thoughts in the comments.
